Wezi's passion is to enable people through business, starting her career in social development, micro-finance and Co-Operative Development models since 1981. She founded and started the Village Banks in 1994 with the aid of the World Bank, and created a number of these banks under the supervision of National Treasure and the South African Reserve Bank.
Dr Antonie van Rensburg
Antonie is the strategic advisor to the Sakhu Board to support its aspirations of transforming the business into a fully listed JSE entity in the next three years. He as started, acquired and managed over 60 companies and can also be attributed as the visionary and founder of a JSE-Listed business who grew from nothing to close a Billion rand turn-over business with 600 employees operating across 30 countries in less than 18 months.
Antonie has started over 30 companies in his career, but also has done more than 50 published articles and international conferences in the subjects of business models, business engineering, complexity theory and data analytics.
Prof van Rensburg holds a PhD (Industrial Engineering), MEng (Industrial Engineering) (Cum Laude), BEng (Industrial Engineering)(Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria, as well as being registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
